When my dad died 6 months ago, a very nice person gave me some money to buy something that would help me remember him. I knew exactly what to get. A flag! Here it is in honor of my Dad who would have celebrated his 80th birthday today, Flag Day.

To everyone else, Flag Day in and of itself, was a great reason to celebrate. A very patriotic mother in the neighborhood organized a children's parade around the block. I thought that was a super idea.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPVe-Rg1d-rtcDNzVNg5wo8njMnkr4SRwBdmK5HtSwPJe75jrhUsJ_I8X8A2rb5s25uD0Dya4btz0wH8SfRPycetMw6AR3yQ8un5v7-Wh3mDWlZ3D2fJz_pRbTOOcR0CHsN5D6ToB7zG4/s400/flag+day+011.JPG)
Happy Flag Day everyone and Happy Birthday Dad. We're thinking of you on this day!

Great pictures and a great way to remember your Dad.
Flags are a good gift/remembrance. Mom used to make that her standard wedding gift. I like that idea better than just relying on the scouts to do all the remembering for us.
cool! I think flags are great. what a wonderful way to remember your dad
My sister's birthday is also on Flag Day! and this sounds like a perfect way to remember your father :)
