Boy Crazy

Cannon is 2 months now. Everyone loves to hold him except when I need to make lunch or clean or throw that load in the laundry. I asked Kate to watch Cannon while I got his bath stuff ready. When I went back for him he was naked and Kate was holding a diaper like a shield waiting for me to come back. The minute I took the diaper from her he peed full force all over me. I couldn't help but scream. There is nothing funnier to a 7 yr. old--Kate about died of laughing! Brynn thinks she is old enough to be able to walk around holding her baby brother--but she obviously struggles with his enormous size (Cannon is a chunk--he looks ready to hibernate for the summer or at least sleep through the night.) When Adrie holds him it has to be supervised. His head will flop from side to side and she will try to overcorrect him. "Whoa! He did that his-self" she'll say. Luckily we have a swing. I can put him in it and have pretty much peace of mind that he'll be safe. Cannon tries to stay awake but the soothing rocking motion eventually overcomes him and he falls asleep and I can use my two arms again.

sweet pictures - looks like he's a hit! My kids were always about the same - helpful when I was relaxed with the baby and ignoring me when my arms were full and I could really use a hand!

Those are good pictures with the girls and babe! I'm always surprised when Samuel is pacified by the awkward sister holdings.

You do a great job with pictures. Whoever is taking them has a good talent I think -- or you take hundreds and hundreds of pictures and pick the lucky ones. Even though Dan's over a year and a half I don't feel like my hands are free without yelling in the background. He's a bit spoiled. He's great at hugs though and making us laugh so we'll keep him.

Thanks Sher! That is the first time I've tried taking a picture of myself--holding Cannon in one hand and the camera in front of us in the other--he never likes it when I multitask.

Laura,
Your family is so cute! He is adorable--and Miles peed on me too. He even sprayed poop on me a couple of times! Just don't press his legs back too quickly. :)
That picture of you is great, I can't believe you were able to take that of yourself!

so cute. It's nice to know that Kate appreciates potty humor too. I just don't get why fresh air makes baby boys need to relieve themselves! Is there something biological about it?
